Our exercise of the month for September is

“The Crawl Push-Up”

Now, most people know what a push-up is and have probably at some stage in their life attempted a few. But, few people know just how good push-ups can be in your workout.

I am writing this blog while on holiday at Carmel in George…it is an absolutely amazing place as you can see from the picture below (view from carmel)…

Last month our theme in terms of workouts was: “adrenalin abs” and we focused on total body exercises that facilitate the release of adrenaline to help maximise fat loss and in the workout our total body exercise was followed by a core stability exercises to help firm and flatten our abs.

Exercise of the Month for March



Our theme for this month is: “the one sided argument for amazing abs” and we have been focusing on exercises that can be done on one side (left or right) at a time. Now, our exercise of the month for March at Fitness Boot Camp is not only a unilateral exercise, but it is also a full body exercise that works you from head to toe and really targets the abs too!

Can I Change You Please…?

Change is inevitable…it happens all the time. Things change…people change. But, most people don’t like to change.

Last week Friday, my daughter, Katie (2 years old) did not want to change. Now, the change she didn’t want to make was “out of her pajamas and into her clothes to go to school”.

Ever heard the saying:

“It is not how you start, but how you finish that counts.”

Well, at boot camp we don’t leave anything to chance…including how you FINISH…

Boot campers are very familiar with something we call “Finishers”. These are 4-5 minute workouts at the very end of boot camp sessions that are what they say they are…

2010 Will Change You…

When I mention “2010″ what do you think of…?

For many people, images of the Soccer World Cup in 2010 is what appears in our minds…for some these are very pleasant thoughts and for others these may be very unpleasant thoughts.

This morning’s boot camp was the perfect demonstration of “unstoppable motivation”.

If you live in Cape Town, you awoke this morning to a torrential downpour. It was raining so hard I could hardly see as i was driving to boot camp at 05h40 this morning.
