Weight Loss Sneaky Tips & Tricks for May

April was filled with way too many holidays and chocolate, so here are some great weight loss tips and tricks to help you recover from that and also tackle the winter months, where weight gain seems to be as inevitable as the colder weather for some…

Weight Loss Sneaky Tips & Tricks For March

Many people are so busy trying to hunt for the latest greatest diet or exercise programme that they miss doing the little things that can make a huge difference when done on a consistent basis.

Last week I had a craving for a hamburger, so I listened to the craving…And managed to eat and enjoy a superb hamburger all while going “Low Carb”…

Rather than go and grab a burger from McDonalds, Steers or the Wimpy, I decided to make my own…which turned out to be a lot healthier and more nutritious.

Are you getting the results you deserve? If you’re not, then don’t despair and give up all hope. It may not be entirely your fault…because you have been lied to!!

This is a question I am often asked…especially because one of our boot camp programmes starts at 06h00!

I have found that the people who do eat prior to coming to boot camp seem to be able to exercise at a higher intensity. And, at the end of the day…increasing the intensity of your workout and your performance is what counts!

Most people’s exercise routines go into hibernation during the winter months. We eat more and we exercise less…and justify it with all sorts of things like:

- it’s too cold or too dark to exercise

- I need to eat more to give my body more energy to stay warm during winter

You can still eat amazing food when trying to lose body fat and build muscle.

And, if you are anything like me, you are just itching to sink your teeth into that burger and chips…

I received another great email from a colleague of mine, Craig Ballentyne, today.

Do you Break the Fast…?

Yesterday, I worked at a Wellness Day at a very popular Hotel here in Cape Town. I had some great conversations with those attending. There was an interesting nutrition concern that I kept addressing…

Why should you “break the fast”? Or more specifically: “Why should you eat breakfast?”

Diet versus Exercise?

I recently witnessed a battle of the two fitness & fat loss icons:

“Diet” and “Exercise”

Want to know who won? Want to know whether it is possible to “out-exercise” nutrition. Or whether you can “out-eat” exercise?
